Default Bad Boy Motor-2004 Club Car

I have a 2004 club car President IQ, everything is stock. What do i have to do to make the BAD BOY "GE 380" motor work? Im guessing i cant just put a motor in the cart and it work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You cant put that motor in there because its a series motor. You have a SEPEX cart. You would have to swap the ENTIRE electrical system, controller and all to make it work.

What are some of the best motors out there people are running? im trying to get 35 MPH on flat pavement.

So i would have to change out the Entire Computer, or just the controller?

I'm not sure of the tech. issues with doing it but I think it's much easier to get the right motor for an IQ cart. The d-380 will not work, it is a series wound motor...totally different the seperate excited Prededent motor requirements. I'm no expert....someone with 1000% more knowledge will jump in here...I'm sure. If you want to speed up your cart contact "scubabud", he's been through it!

Thank you for the Information,, i understand now about the motor differences. I had no idea. After more research im looking into the PlumQuick motor line. Does anyone know about top speeds w controller upgrades and wire upgrades that can be reached. Also what is a good controller that would allow me to run a gear set of 8:1 after the motor upgrade
