Default Lifted Star Question

Hello all. New to the Forums but there seems to be some good info out there. I have a 2010 lifted Star Cart and so far the only issue I've had is a bad charger (which they replaced). I am also experiencing the 'squirley' ride at speed, especially downhill. A friend of mine just bought an EZGO with a Jake's independent long travel suspension. From the looks of it, it should fit the Star Cart (since it's an EZGO copy). Has anyone installed one of these kits yet? Also, the Star uses a single throw rack with a tie rod, where as the EZGO uses the double throw rack as the tie rod. From all the Jake's kit's that I've seen, the rack doesn't come with the kit. Any and all info welcome. Thanks!

Call Jakes, they make a Star lift and are familiar with the carts.

So, I spent a little time with a tape measure this weekend. Turns out, it was toed out 1/2". A few quick turns and viola, it runs straight and true now.

Someone else posted a severe shock/vibration through the steering wheel. I was experiencing the same thing. Turns out the rod end on the steering rack was LOOSE by about a turn and 1/2!

Really amazed by what a few quick turns of the wrench will do for you! Although I'd love to have a long travel suspension, I at least have time now without worrying about putting it in a ditch or on it's side due to instability!
