My slow projects is starting to come together, made some good progress in the last three days. Got all the accessory wiring done and the rear seat assembly cleaned and repainted.

Thanks, It has been very slow going, but is picking up steam. Trying to have it done within the next 6-8 weeks. A new DCX500 is in route, found a new one from a private seller who needed cash fast so got it for $275 which is 160 below my cost. Says it's brand new and never installed, and is under warranty so we'll see when it gets here.

That was a steal!!!! I'm strongly considering putting a DCX600 in mine just not sure that the gain is worth the price. What did you do for a motor, CJ?

Well I stewed for a long time on motors, especially since this is a DCS cart. Then I came across a free DCS motor in good shape so I sent it off to PQ. Since it was free I only have $175 into it including shipping and PQ's charge so I figured I would take a gamble with it. I only need to reach 20-22 mph on stock size tires so PQ thought that running it with a 500amp and 48v that it should a good setup, so we'll see.

Woohoo.. Well a major milestone was completed, last night I finished all wiring and controller install. And the Cart fired up and is running perfect on the first try. This is the first time it has had power since I've owned it so that was a good feeling... What was even a better feeling is the fact that the so called Brand new Alltrax DCX500 controller that I got from ebay for $275.00 powered right up. I got this thing for a steel and I think everyone over looked it because it was advertised as an DCX500R18, which is what all DCX500's are, R18 is simply the revision. Not sure why they had to sell for so cheap but it's mine now.

Body is all prepped and ready to take the painter, took it down and got a quote $275 to fix any imperfections and a base coat, clear coat.

Wheels came today as well, they are going on my cart though and the ones on mine will go on this one since it's for my daughter. She already scuffed the wheels on the curb so she can keep' em and I'll take the new ones.

All that is left is a fresh set of batteries as the ones in there are junk, painting the body, and new seat covers.

Here are some blurry pics... (mainly taking for my Dad as he likes to follow along).

Awesome deals you found. I'm happy for you getting power on it for the first time That's an achievement you surely had at least a little fear about. Good job bud, coming along very nice.
