Default Will the magnets from nearby speakers affect the batteries?

I just installed some JL Audio 6.5" marine speakers under the seat. There's about 1/4" between the speaker magnets and the batteries. Will the magnets in the speakers affect the batteries being so close? I didn't think so since lead isn't magnetic but I figured someone here would know for sure.

Thanks.

that's funny! Perhaps though the magnetic field acting the coils would somehow charge the batteries

No Shriner, they won't. Enjoy your radio without fear.

You will get more interference from your controller to the speakers. The EMF around the motor and controller far out-power any car audio speaker that I've seen. The batteries are not going to notice a thing. Don't worry, keep carting!

Just occurred to me 1/4" of space between your speakers and the tops of your batteries could be a concern. I sure hope you have the speakers boxed or some other means of insulating them from the batteries or bad joo joo will most positively bring you back here to tell a story and ask for rebuild help, never mind any personal hospitalization.

Good point, I missed the under the seat part. Was too busy being a smart A$$ Don't think it would fit in a cart anyway.. Supp to be like 350lbs, 23in tall, 22in cone and 6K watt capacity.

Anyway, a speaker cage near the terminals of a battery can be bad. I suggest you make sure that no matter how much weight gets put on them they can't short a battery.
