Thanks, David.

We're gaining on it. Jumped white to green and FWD is normal (and reliable) and REV is high speed (and reliable). From your earlier post the problem is either micro switch or 1/2 speed resistor.

Since a previous swap of the black and white wires didn't solve the problem, but did reduce forward speed when the cart would move forward, me thinks the 1/2 speed resistor is probably okay and that the problem is the micro switch.

Do you agree or am I missing something?

You're on the right track. Personally I'd just bypass the whole thing, but I understand if you want the half-speed reverse feature. Some people do. I'd change the micro switch. They're only a couple of bucks. I doubt it's the resistor. Usually when a resistor fails it doesn't work at all. Intermittent operation sounds more like a microswitch problem

I was going to replace the switch but, after thinking more about it, have decided that slow reverse isn't necessary. So, permanent jumper it is.
