Re: Toe in 2006 Presedent
I never set the toe in on a Jakes Lift but I have set toe in for an AllSports. On a level concrete slab or deck with the wheels straight “Not turned”, use a framing square to check from top of the tire side wall to the bottom of the tire side wall with the square resting on the deck. You should have about 1/8” clearance on the lower side wall with the framing square resting flat on the slab or deck. I’m not sure if Jakes has an adjustment for this but it should. Adjust both tires as needed.
Now check the toe in. Tow in should be about 1/8”-3/16” less on the front of the inside tire side wall compared to the rear inside tire sidewall. This measurement is taken half way up the tire. If the measurement is incorrect. Loosen both tie rod ends and adjust both sides the same to get the correct measurement. Hope this helps. |
