I have a 98 cc 48v with 5 wire v glide. How do I wire the pot box into the cart? What kind of pot box did Sonic use? Mine is a 5K-0.

Re: Pot box hook up
my 97 wasn,t bad hardest thing was where to mount it...........got it from scotty a curtis pb-6.....you,ll need to take the V-glide out and cables that go to it the 2 main pot wires rut to the controller.......i mounted mine on up side of frame rail by drivers side batteries and just heated and bent the rod till i had what i wanted......theres an easier place to mount it but its hanging down past the frame and exposed to any and all eliments...........................

Re: Pot box hook up
Did you tie the black and white from the pot to the purple and white and black? Where does the wire from the switch hook to? What about the yellow wire? Thanks

Re: Pot box hook up
let me think its been a few months and i started from scratch with a controller and solenoid........i think the yellow goes to solenoid and i used an alltrax controller and the 2 heavy wires from pot that are in the same harness they just plugged into controller.......i beleive thats all i had to do but i,ll double check it and let you know...................................

Re: Pot box hook up
i used a curtis PB-6. if you go this route, you'll need to open the pb-6 and solder on the "5th" wire. once the additional wire is in place, it can be configured as 5k-0 or 0 to 5k.

Re: Pot box hook up
i,m a little confused because he says it has a V-glide and if so than it can,t have a pot or vice versa.......its one or the other but thats wye i chimed in because i did the V-glide as for the 5 wire part i think hes referring to the cables that come off the back of it cause i know of no 5 wire V-glides........................................
