Info on controllers
1.- what is/does a plug brake refer to
2. - pros/cons on a programable versus non prog. product.. going on a 96 series cart. i'm trying to save up the $$$ to replace f/r soleniod and controller soon. |

Plug brake refers to a failed attempt at "braking" with the controller. Didnt work out so well on Curtis controllers. You dont need it. You can just tie that cable together and tape up or just go straight from the F/R to the motor.
The programmable option is good for tweakers. If you just need a stock replacement you can get by without it. Its nice to have when/if you change throttle types or limit top output for kids and stuff. |

Also, if the stationary contacts are good, you can $ave a bit by just replacing the Cam in the F/R switch. |
