Marathon battery tray/rack
I am repairing a Marathon that the previous owner cut out the battery tray . So 1st step is to weld in a new tray. But I am wondering if I can buy a replacement tray? I have seen replacements for the newer models, even Medalist, but not for the Marathon.
Anyone know where I can buy one? |

Re: Marathon battery tray/rack
Gonkulor, Thank you. I guess I should have not used Marathon in my search.
There is a driver side, passenger side and outer rack. Any idea how these are installed? |

Re: Marathon battery tray/rack
They are welded to the frame. No bolt on solution I'm aware of unless you want to fab yourself. I went the fab route and if or when there is a next time, I'm just buying them.
Glad you found them. Strange they don't at least tag them with marathon for peoples searching. |

Re: Marathon battery tray/rack
There is another piece to the rack that holds the controller, solenoid etc. The previous owner removed and lost all of it. I also need the actual piece that the controller and solenoid bolt to.

I bought 2 carts. 1 for $350 with only issue is a rusted out battery tray . The 2nd for $250 and had the tray brutally removed. Cut everything in the way including the accelerator rod and brake cables. |

Re: Marathon battery tray/rack
This is the only bracket I can find, but it is not for a marathon

That should work just fine as your only real concern will be positioning the bracket for mounting the pot and connecting the go go pedal rod. Actual controller and solinoid won't matter much.

Re: Marathon battery tray/rack
making them is pretty easy ... you could bolt them in if you had to... you would just need to do some drilling ...
