Default Scotty b's meter, very fast shipping. One small ???

Okay. I got part in EXTREMELY quick. I love it. I saw on the instructions there are 2 options for ezgo. Should I hook into key switch or bypass it?? What is best?
I assume bypassing key would keep gauge on all the time. Is that correct?

My digital gauge from Scotty is on all the time....nice to see at a glance what is going on when just walking by.

Cool
I read once you would need to install 60+ of these in one cart to draw 1 amp.... so having one on all the time is no measurable draw on the battery pack at all. It's a matter of preference or ease of installation. I'm a gadget guy so mine are wired into the key, on/off..on/off..on/off.... I think I'm wearing out the key playing with it? The original test meter was left on .... the cart sat outdoors with no roof for 2 years of record rainfall (50"+) in one year. No problems. Enjoy the meter.

That is great. I have hit it numerous times since installing it. What should a 36 volt cart read while on charge (just curious)?

I'm glad I wired mine to be on all the time...I'm always looking at it.

the charger turns off, when the pack reaches around 44-46 volts

Depends on load, incline, and battery condition other than charge....plus the entire electrical system condition. Mine never reads less than about 35.X under all the heavy loads. You will learn how your cart responds after some running.

Main thing is not to keep the pedal pressed if the cart fails to keep moving forward.
