93 ezgo-burnt smelling f/r control
my electric 93 ezgo cart developed an odor today and i traced it to the forward/neutral/reverse control. also the control was warm. the control cooled when put in neutral and the on/off key switch in the off position. it became warm again when operating.

Loose/worn connections cause resistance which = heat. Stop operating the vehicle until you localize the problem in the FNR and repair/replace the worn and/or loose components. The FNR assembly can be purchased outright or you can purchase components to replace in your existing FNR assembly.

May I recommend " scottyb's " http://www.cartsunlimited.net/. He has F - R switches and kits. Yours is on the way out and will do nothing but get worse. Also take a close look at the cables to it. They may be in need of replacement also.
