Default Serial number 8 vs 10

I am trying to get an on-line Owners Manual for a Electric 1985 Club Car but it I believe it requires that you enter a 12 digit serial number. Mine only has a combination of 10, I have 1 letter followed by 9 numbers. A85278038500
Can I get an on-line manual with just a 10 digit combbination?
Thanks.

do you want owners manual or service manual?? your much better off with a service manual as the owners manual is worthless as far as if your wanting to do your own work......service manual gives you everything and no ser# required.......................................... .....

You are right, it is the service manual that I would like to find. While I don't need it at the moment, I'm quite sure someday I will.
Thanks.

If you tag number is something like (A 8550 123445). What you do is put a zero in between the 1st group of digits and the second set of digits Example(A8550123456) You should get the manual then.

I had the same problem with mine. I just split the the ser. number in the middle and add two zeros (00). And I got the owners manual.
