battery ? 99 cc ds
a buddy of mine has a 48 volt 99 club car ds. he doesnt have money for new batteries. he has 6 6 volt batteries. I thought I seen on here where you can wire it up 36 volt and not change the controller. what all would be involved in doing so.

Re: battery ? 99 cc ds
thats not gonna work trying to run it on 36 volts....charger needs to see 38 volts just to come on so it will more then likely not charge and then theres the OBC that also needs to read voltage......i understand the fact he can,t afford batteries but what your wanting to to can and may cause more harm then any gain you may ever get..........if anything it would be better to get 4 12volt deep cycles and throw in for a few months or try and trade the 6 volt batteries for 8 volt batteries.........................................
