Chances are you have a resistor coil drive system as opposed to electronic solid state speed control. If this is the case you will need to convert to solid state to use the cart as you want.

Let us know which drive system you have
This is the kind of info I like, awesome, thanks!

So Scottyb thinks ive got coil, so i should convert to solid state. Anything particular i need to know? Is there a thread you'll can link me to? On 2nd thought, he had a bunch of work done on it a year ago or so, this upgrade may have been done. What do I need to look for to see if its still coil or now solid state?

I didnt think it was a 92 either. Ive dealt with julian style date codes for years, but the CC site I had a 92

Its got six 4 hole batteries.

Thanks guys!

It has 48 V worth of batteries. First year for 48 V golf carts was 1995.
If the charger receptacle is round then the cart was originally 48 bolts and is not a resistor coil cart.

What is your serial number? Go ahead and post it. Scotty is right, 48 volt carts were introduced in 1995 by CC. Also, what does the charger plug look like?
