Re: Club Car DS suddenly stopped working! Help
Some thoughts...
You can test the micro switches with a Ohm meter. Obviously the solenoid should click. Have you tried to reset the OBC? I would jack up the rear end and place jack stands under them. You will have to slowly go through live tests to measure voltages, etc and that is the safest way. M |

Thanks for all your feedback. What's the OBC?

OnBoard charging Control - Basically a computer that monitors battery discharge and charge.
Sticky is here on reseting OBC. Be careful. M |

Re: Club Car DS suddenly stopped working! Help
On board computer, it controls your charger's charge rate and time, plus some other stuff. If bad, it can keep a cart from running because of its solenoid lockout feature, which when working properly prevents a cart from being driven while plugged in.

Re: Club Car DS suddenly stopped working! Help
Here's a helpful post from TahoeDawg on a quick and easy way to see if it is the OBC. I'd try this after I tried the reset.
Yes it can be the OBC. The OBC provides a ground to the solenoid coil. This feature is used to keep the car from running while charging. The OBC quits providing ground to the solenoid when the charger is plugged in. Sometimes this feature will malfunction and won't ground the solenoid at all. Use a small jumper wire and clip to the small post of the solenoid (NOT LARGE POST) where the yellow wire is located. Clip the other end to the B- post of the controller. If the car will now run when you try to go, replace the OBC. EDIT: this is provided your cart is a series cart, we really need your serial # to determine year and model before you troubleshoot much further. |

Re: Club Car DS suddenly stopped working! Help
My bad, I seen the post on micro switches and assumed it was a series cart.
Let us know what the first part of serial number is. Located under dash. M |

Re: Club Car DS suddenly stopped working! Help
Alright, disregard what I posted about the OBC bypass, that was provided you had a series car. What you have is a 2009 IQ cart, manufactured in the very first week of production in 2009. I'm out of my element with those carts, so someone else is gonna have to chime in, but my guess is your problem has something to do with that extra crispy connection.
