My 2014 has a 12v block next to the batteries. That is where all off the accessories are powered from. I didn't look at it too close as I had the dealer wire in my accessories. Good luck!

It's pretty standard practice to use fuses for any power wiring. With a fuse block like he used, a single positive and negative wire goes to the fuse block. Typically the positive is fused and negative is just a bus. That way, you can run multiple circuits for radio, lights, horn, power outlet, etc. If any of the accessories fail, or if a wire gets nicked, the fuse blows.
The way I read his post, he is using his power port (cigarette lighter) for charging. |
