1990 EZGO - won't go
Very simply, I place the cart in gear and it will not go forward or reverse. The hub (I think) spins on the driver side and nothing noticeable on the passenger side wheel. There is also a noise (sounds like stripped gears). Any advice? New to Buggies....

If what you described is true, you need a new brake drum, it is a common problem. Clean-up the axle splines and grease or anti-seize them to keep rust away. Torque axle nut to 80-120 lb/ft.

CGTECH- That's what I was thinking but it's nice to have an expert opinion. I'll give it a try and post the results. BTW, do you know the part number and a reputable online source to buy it from? I assume ill buy two and change them at the same time to save aggravation later.

I replaced one of these on a 2003 txt electric. Looks like its for gas as well in your range. Double check though and maybe someone else has done your model.

Jack it up and remove the tire you will be able to spin the hub and the axle shaft won't move.

Re: 1990 EZGO - won't go
Okay - So after purchasing the new hubs, I found that the driver side shaft is in need of replacement. No problem right? Well, it is not as easy as it sounds. Anyone have a play by play they could offer up? Any special tools needed etc.?
