Default Aftermarket Part Numbers for EZGO

I have a 98 TXT cart. I am trying to rebuild the front end. I went through this once before with my 72 EZGO when I converted from a three wheel to a four wheel (whole other thread needed for that discussion). Anyways, trying to find parts local. I hate shopping at EZGO website, everything is ten times more $$ than it should be. I know most of the parts (shocks, tie rod end, linkages, etc) are parts that match up to car parts but EZGO does not give any part numbers that can be cross referenced. I have done the research to find the replacement shocks (Monroe shock model #5758 for my cart, but went with a Monroe model #31069 for extra 2" of lift in case anybody else is looking) and ended up buying the shocks from Pep Boys for $21.00 a shock instead of $88 a shock on EZGO site. Is there a part list that I can use to cross reference my cart parts so I can buy local somewhere? Has anybody ever found/created this? I am looking for replacement tie rod ends at the moment if anybody has those part numbers at a minimum?

Give diygolfcart.com a try. They seem to have a lot of oem parts. I'm not sure how the prices compare though. Good luck.

Jimmy,

There is an illustrated parts list that gives the EZ-GO part numbers, bolt sizes, etc. I found mine on the web, but I am sure that it is here on the BGW forum. If not, I will add it and ask it to be added as a sticky...

Found it.. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html

Thank Yellow, but the Manuals only list OEM part numbers from EZGO and nothing you can cross reference to after market part numbers.

BigWes, I will try DIY carts, see if they have any bettor prices or even carry the pieces, most of the other websites (buggies unlimited, Carts unlimited, etc.) don't carry the tie rod ends. Just EZGO.com.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks rib. But those aren't the correct tie rod ends for my 98'. Don't worry. I found them on DIYcartparts at Wes suggestion. Half price of EZGO too! Thanks for all the help from the forum.

Glad I could be of assistance. I've only been on here a couple weeks now and the forum has helped me tremendously so far. Happy to pay it forward.

It never hurts to contact the sponsors directly. They may carry, or be able to get parts that aren't on their website.
