Club Car 94 DS won't run
I have a 94 Club Car DS 36v that I purchased at the beginning of summer. This cart has given me problems since the first week I purchased it. I just picked it up from the shop a week ago. They replaced all of the speed resistors, resistor board, solenoid, and vglide.
Here is a link to my other thread. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ng-issues.html When I picked up the cart, everything seemed to be working fine and running good. We were riding around the neighborhood tonight and all of the sudden the cart quit running. The cart turns on and the battery meter reads full. Does anybody have any suggestions? I am almost defeated here. |

Check the V-Glide contacts, resistor coils and board, and for loose, disconnected, or burned wire connections

Do you have any new pictures of the battery compartment after the work has been done?

Re: Club Car 94 DS won't run
Well I think it is my v glide but let me explain one detail that might or might not be important. My wife was driving the cart yesterday and she called me to tell me that it cut off on her when she was driving. I inspected the cart and discovered that this had popped out of the v glide. It appears that they didn't put a nut on the bolt that holds it to the shift in the v glide. I just popped it back in and the cart immediately ran fine.

Yup, that V-Glide is your issue

Hard to tell for sure from the angle but it looks like its not going all the way to the top contact ......or you/she are not driving it at wide open......anything less than wide open throttle (top contact ONLY on the vglide , yours looks like its inbetween ) heats up the parts on these carts......

Re: Club Car 94 DS won't run
Any guesses on what could have burned up this v-glide? It was brand new a week ago. Could it be the charger? It saids 36v output. Or did it have something to do with this guy popping off in the picture below? I am wondering if it popped off but was in the "go" position. Then I pushed it home with the cart turned on, causing it to burn up.

Re: Club Car 94 DS won't run
I agree with Budule, it looks like the damage was done near WOT. If so, the V-Glide was either never adjusted properly or it became out of adjustment during the time the linkage was off and towed.
When you replace the V-Glide, it is critical that it is adjusted properly so at WOT, the wiper contact has full contact with the entire V-Glide pad. |
