Charging location
Will it matter if I charge my cart in my closed 20x20 garage?

Re: Charging location
As long as there is ventilation your good. Charging puts off hydrogen. Not good in confined spaces.

Re: Charging location
My garage is 20 x 28 and I charged it inside once. The smell was terrible. I just take it outside to charge then put it back in when finished. I keep the cart stored in a corner and it is difficult to ventilate even with the doors open.

Re: Charging location
Turn off the lights in the garage and look for daylight. If you see any, your garage is probably ventilated well enough to charger your cart in it.

Re: Charging location
I have an insulated, detached 20x18 garage and I charge carts in there from time to time. It's not very ventilated at all. Yes I can smell the fumes, especially on older batteries that tend to gas more then new ones. Make sure there aren't sources of ignition like a gas hot water heater or air compressor that may start up nearby and make sure your fire insurance is up to date.
