MCOR readings

I checked my mcor output and meter read 8.6 at no throttle and 2.1 at full throttle. I know it's suppossed to be 5k-0, but are my readings satisfactory. I hooked my meter to the green and yellow wires at the controller.
Cart is 2003 series 48v.

That's not surprising. Readings like that are typical and the main reason DCX controls didn't work so good with MCOR. What control are you running now?

I have a GE 700 amp controller I just installed. I am only getting 11 mph per GPS on level trails with 23 inch tires. Thought I should get closer to 15 mph.

What is the exact controller model #?

The actual resistance may not make much difference if the controller uses a 3-wire throttle.

Controller part # is FS42L700NNVS per sticker on controller.

The "V" indicates a 3-wire throttle or 0-5v setup.

The voltage on the "yellow" wire or pin #3 should go approximately 0-5v from pedal Up to pedal Down.

I'm not too good at electronics. How do I hook my meter to get correct readings?

Lift one of the rear wheels OFF the ground.

You need to plug the MCOR wires back on the controller.

Set the meter to 20v DC.

Just pull the Yellow wire connector on terminal #3 far enough so You can put the positive meter probe there.

The meter negative probe goes on controller B- or pack negative battery post.

Here is the catch, the key switch needs to be ON and the FNR needs to be in forward so the limit switches are in the correct position, which means the motor will run.

You have 2 options:

Press the pedal all the way down just long enough to get a reading (less than 5 seconds) as the motor will try to spin beyond its capabilities.

Unplug the 3-pin OBC plug so the solenoid cannot engage and the motor will not run.

Since You have a DS, make sure there is not a lot of wear on the Pedal linkage as in the thread below:

Historically and for the most part this control has been okay with the out of limit MCOR signal.
Signal over range usually make a controller quit and not under perform. What is the battery pack voltage reading when the cart is going 11 mph on level ground?

I am thinking assuming 1kΩ for the wiper resistance and a 5v feed, his numbers will result on approximately 4.28v maximum throttle, maybe not enough for full speed.

You can easily do a visual check if there is pedal movement before it engages the throttle linkage.
