DCX 400 Issues - Open Field Error, LED Flashes Red 5 Times

I'm having an issue here with my 2008 EZGO TXT. Suddenly on the way to the mailbox it simply stopped in the middle of the road. Batteries are fully charged. I noticed that when I press the pedal, I get a slight movement, then the light on the Alltrax 400 DCX flashes Red 5 times. I have tested the motor using a 12 volt battery, it turned fine, replaced the selonoid, f/r switch, and all of the battery cables. I cannot get past the open field error on the alltrax. I have traced all the wiring, it all looks good. I get the open field error (5 red flashes) in fwd or reverse. Any assistance would be appreciated. We bought this used just a month ago and I'm really disappointed that it's already broken.

Three possibilities:
1. Bad motor
2. Bad F1/F2 cables
3. Bad DCX controller.

The motor runs when powered by a 12V battery, so it is most likely good.

Pull the F1 and F2 cables off the controller and measure the resistance between them. Should read from 1Ω to 2Ω, or a bit over since you are measuring the two lengths of 10Ga wire as well as the field windings.

If that F1/F2 test good, that leaves the DCX controller.

Thank you! I looked at the F1 and F2 wires, my meter is broken but the white wire was burned up for sure,,the black wire had a portion with wire exposed.

A new set of F1/F2 wires and you might be back on the road.
