Default What controller do I have?

BGW,

Can you guys help me identify what controller I have in my project cart? The thing has very little torque and I always assumed it was the stock controller. But then I took off the sticker that has the part numbers and saw this (see attached). It has the part number of the stock 225AMP controller but then says 550A in the right hand corner... FSIP thinks it may already be a 550A controller but I say no way. What controller do I have?

If its a 550A I must have some serious motor issues!!!

That's what I thought too... but the "550A" in the lower right hand corner is really throwing both myself and FSIP.

cool let me look thru the pile of crap i amassed during my Curtis research.

and not to sound dumb but there isn't anything else stamped on it like attached?

Honestly i think its 225 just based on what you've said. it's a weak controller. i would not assume its the motor causing issues

I would say it was a re-manufactured controller and was updated to 550a. Have you called the number to see who answers?

HA! Something I never thought of would be to call... I will do that Monday AM.

Took it to my local shop (300' birds eye from my house) and they confirmed its 550AMP. What boggles me is the cart is no rocket ship by any means... The motor I have in there is a high speed motor but 10% loss in torque in a HILLY area. Adding the lift, tires, HD FNR, HD Solenoid, 4 Gauge cables, alignment, brake check (they are dragging a little now), maybe I will have some more speed. Stay tuned!

You can try calling, but I don't think it'll get you anywhere. Pretty sure they're out of business.
