2004 Precedent No reverse!

If it goes forward but not reverse and you want to eliminate the motor, can't you just change out the blue/orange wire on the controller? You'll be feeding reverse to the motor when the (forward/reverse) switch is in forward... if the cart goes backwards it's not the motor...

Sure you can. It's just another way of doing it.

Not sure what controller you have but i have been told if it goes 1 direction and not thechother it is not the controller, hence the F/R switch makes it switch polarity the controller just tells the motor how much power it needs. I am sure it is different on all carts.

I have switched the f/r with a new one and still same problem.

Did you try to JUST switch the blue and orange wire on top of your controller... Blue to Orange and Orange to Blue?

I switched the blue and orange wires. The cart will move in reverse. So would it be the speed controller?

True, but if the F&R switch was bad the reverse buzzer wouldn't sound.
