Default testing solenoid or pedal switch

I have a 2001 48v club car i think regen 2 model. the solenoid stop clicking over so i traced back to the switch under the gas pedal and it is enclosed and i dont think it was designed to be opened up. Is there any way to check the switch box or maybe bypass solenoid. I replaced the controller hooked all tyhe wires back up pushed the pedal and the cart traveled about 4ft in reverse. Instructions that came with the controller said to swap two wires on controller if that happen done that and now nothing solenoid stopped clicking and so i replaced it and still not clicking so i was thinking could be switch under the pedal and was wondering if anyone knew how to test this?

What color was the controller you replaced, black or silver? And what controller (model) did you replace it with?

the old controller was silver. The new one is a Alltrax 300amp PD PLUS.

not sure about the micro that depends on if it has a v-glide or pot or m-core......as for solenoid you can jump the large post on it........just have the rear jacked up...........................................

most people install a battery cable accross them or simply move whichever one has the most slack to the other post so that both cables are on the same terminal, this essentially eliminates the switch from the circuit and is not safe to run. It is for testing purposes only and if it makes the cart run you have one of two failures at hand.
