What can you do for heat in an overhead radio?fan?

Not sure what you are asking, but if you mean that you are concerned that the radio/stereo will get hot at the top of your cart, under the roof, I wouldn't think if would get as hot there, in the open as car stereos closed up inside the vehicles during the dog days of summer. I don't think I would be bothered by that.

When it's 93* outside, temps inside a closed car can reach 125* within 20 minutes and 140* within 40 minutes. Your radio isn't going to get that hot under the roofline of your cart in the open air. If it does, you better not be in the cart, because that means you'll be that hot too, and you wouldn't live very long.

well the radio eas playing for about 4 hours ,when i checked it it felt hot to the touch ,they might get hot in a car also,but a car is mostly medal surrounding it and i was wondering if anyone had problems with the roof melting?

Being "metal" surrounded within the car would cause the temperature of the radio to go up, which is why I say that your radio in the open cart will not get nearly as hot as a radio inside a closed vehicle. Your radio is having another issue that will cause it to get hotter than it's designed to withstand.
