2000 Ezgo electric series dies after 50 yards
Hi, I'm working on a 2000 ezgo electric series golf cart. You go about 50 yards and this thing dies!! All batteries check out, and when it dies it still has 36 volts.
Had some spare parts so I put another controller on it, that wasn't it, another solenoid, that wasn't it, cleaned all cables going to motor and forward and reserve switch, still no go. Not sure if it would be the motor, or what else do I need to look for?? Tired of pushing this thing!! Thanks Terry |

When it dies, is anything hot?
When you say it has 36v what is the actual Pack voltage? Including what is after the decimal point. |

Pack voltage 36.4, nothing hot. After it sits for 5 minutes it takes off for a little then dies again.

At 36.4V, you are at the bottom end of where you want to charge your batteries. I have attached a link to a page from CartsUnlimited that shows what percent depleted your batteries are.
http://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-break-in-.html You might try charging your batteries and see if that changes anything. |

You probably have one or more bad batteries that drop way low when under a load. Charge the pack, let it sit for 12 hours then give us the pack voltage and individual battery voltage.
