Navitas controller tac2 / voltage meter issue
I have a simple question, I just installed a tac 2 600 ac controller on a ezgo Rvx 2017 23inch tires 3phase a/c motor
, everything seems to be going ok, I was hoping to get a few more mphs, I went from 25 to 33 but did give it a lot more torque I was hoping for top end But my stock voltage meter is reading full ever since I installed the navitas, I kno The battery’s r not full ( I’ve been using the app to monitor the battery percentage and that seems to be working fine on there app ( the battery’s r practically brand new) 4x12volt US battery’s I was told by a friend the stock analog voltage meters go bad, but right after I put the navitas in?? And reading full always ? I would think I’d they go bad the read empty? Anybody kno what it might be or do I just replace the meter ? @bobboyce lol I know your the man Also can the navitas be programmed more to get more out of it ? Thanks again I’m New to the carting world |

Re: Navitas controller tac2 / voltage meter issue
I’ve got the same controller and my OEM battery meter still works.
You need the tech app features to be able to adjust the speed and tire size. You can get that by filling out the contact form on their site, read the notes at the bottom of the page: http://www.navitasvs.com/contact Finally, I’d recommend a Heavy Duty 400A solenoid. The 600A Navitas has a tendency to internally weld the Trombettas. 2AWG wires as well should be on your short list. |

Thanks I did the 2ga wires but just the battery cables not the cables to the motor from the controller and I did the sw180 solenoid.
Just can’t figure out why the battery meter is acting up lol Thank you My cart look very similar to yours What’s your top speed ? |

Re: Navitas controller tac2 / voltage meter issue
Right now I have it set to 30mph Max in the app as that’s the limit of comfort for stability and braking for me. Speed limits where I drive are 25 and 30, lots of kids and pedestrians, so even 30 requires a lot of focus and defensive driving. I find myself typically cruising at around 27 just naturally. I’ve done speed tests to 34 without issue. I haven’t increased amperage just the motor rpm/top speed. I don’t know what the safe maximum motor rpm is and I really have no need to go any faster, but I know people on the FB site with same setups do 37-38 routinely.

Do you recommend doing the 2g from the controller to the motor too ?

Quote:
- Main Positive Battery to Solenoid - Main Negative Battery to Controller - Solenoid to Controller I’ve not seen people replace any of the Controller to Motor wires, not saying it isn’t done, but I don’t hear people doing that as routine here. |
