Default Overheating issue

Hi I'm new to this forum but have had golf cars for years. I don't know what year my club car is but it is over heating and after running it for a while it will try and start itself even after you take your foot off the gas.

I have modified the throttle slightly and made it go a little faster and rev out a little more but it retains stock everything including rev limiter.

I appreciate any help, Thanks

Perhaps it is running a little lean, check the plug color, remember the fords in the seventies that ran on an on when you turned the key off. Besure the throttle is closing all the way.

Are you sure the kill and solenoid micros are adjusted correctly and closing?
When did the problem start? Did it do it before you messed with it?
Have you tried pulling the plug wire when you let off the pedal?
If it is actually running hot have you pulled the blower shroud and checked the cooling fins for blockage?

it started doing this after I messed with the throttle but years later. It always ran fine and didn't try and start again after it was off.

How do you adjust the kill and solenoid micros?
