86 Marathon Gas won't crank
 1986 Marathon Gas. Ran fine then started with starter would start out turning slow then build up speed and it would run. Then all of a sudden after I stop for a minute it would not turn over. If I tapped the start solenoid lightly it would start to turn over. I replaced the solenoid with a new 12 V one for a Ford. It increased the cranking speed greatly. But after I drive it a short distance and stop it won’t go again. Now tapping the solenoid doesn’t help. Regulator is new. Thanks for any help, Jon |

 Definitely (New)the lights are bright and no dimming when I try to press the accelerator. I can hear the micro click (New) when I do this. Before when it would crank it was cranking fast and would start. Best it has been for a while. Now it just won't crank. jon |

All connections are nice, clean, and tight? I see you've got a lot of new parts. Double check all your connections?

Belts are New and tight. Just will not attempt to crank. If it cranks it will start. New Clutch to.
