Dies after going through to much mud
I've got a '89 EZ-GO with the 3PG engine. Its lifted 4 inches.... I go through the mud... If I go through TO MUCH mud and then stop it refuses to refire. It cranks but it light off. If I keep going it remains running....
Sometimes if I wait a few minutes, crank it in reverse it will fire.... and then stop the engine and crank it over in forward it will go! Its quite frustrating.... Cart runs good otherwise |

Re: Dies after going through to much mud
Not that this is a cure but have you tried silicon spray on the electronics?

Re: Dies after going through to much mud
Are you getting a bunch of mud on the shifter mechanism? It sounds to me like the mud is "taking it out if gear" somehow, then you shift a little and loosen/remove the mud and it is ok. Check out that shift mechanism for mud, maybe a homemade shield will stop it if that is the problem.

Re: Dies after going through to much mud
WD40 the heck out of all the electrical components, especially the ignition.
Probably will burn up a starter &/or alternator sooner than later though. Their just mounted really low in these carts & not really made for the mud. |
