Re: Suggestions for controller...
My Curtis is smooth as glass lol and that is with a mcor 2. The newer car I converted to IQ and put the first carts stock controlled on it and it has a mcor 4 and it if smooth as glass. I feel one you get the maximum the motor can handle safely, then your done right?

Re: Suggestions for controller...
Scooterman, how is your torque & speed with the PlumQuick executioner? The motor is the last piece to this puzzle!

Re: Suggestions for controller...
Another question to throw into the pot in the stock motor is a 250 amp motor by installing a 400, 500 or 600 amp Controller will the 250 amp stock motor draw more amps ? Under normal driving conditions

Re: Suggestions for controller...
Yes, but the torque controller will let you know when the motor gets close to overheating. Theres an L.E.D. on the OTF programmer that blinks.

I have a PQE motor and 500 amp controller and live in the hills of Tenn; I have hills here that my cart could not make till I installed the controller. Once that was done I've yet to find a sane incline that I can't tackle with a full load of passengers too. |

Re: Suggestions for controller...
For the most part I would call my speed a solid 30 MPH while I have seen the big Four 0 for a brief moment or two it was with the wind in my back and floored going down one of the biggest paved hills in our hood....

Re: Suggestions for controller...
I specifically had that motor wound for my needs, it was more torque for the hills & gravel roads where I use it. Still do an easy 27 mph GPS and pull like a mule! Loaded with 5 people I could climb a steep hill with ease, my brother-in-laws with a D&D 11Php, 500 amp controller torque motor is no comparison to my setup.
