Measure directly from the + / - end of the battery string (bypass the solenoid). what type/size batteries are you using? Can you diagram how you have them wired?

I get 51 volts. They are wired sequentially 1st battery has positive (not connecting to another battery), 1st battery negative goes to 2nd battery positive...the 8th battery has the negative open (not connected to another battery).

do you want meter on all the time or just when the cart is on ?
I want it on when the key is on.

Pretty sure your txt has wires in the dash already for a energy meter. It will have the energy meter on whenever the key is on and the cart is in forward or reverse. Not on when key is off, f&r selector is not in a "f" or "r" position, and off when charger is plugged in.
