Default What's Leaking on motor ClubCar Precedent '06

I tried uploading photos, but don't think that worked. I see a leak on the drivers side of the motor when I take off the back cover of my 06 Club Car Precedent. What could that be and is there something there I have to keep checking on every so often? Like deadens fluid for gear oil? Thanks in advance!

I cleared some of the caked on dirt and there's a piece that just keeps spinning. What is that for and is it supposed to be spinning freely?

what piece are you referring to that keeps spinning. An electric motor shouldn't have anything in it that would leak. Need more info

That would be the vent for the axle

Thanks! Is that normal to be like that? Do I need to check the level of it?

It is an air vent that allows the raised air pressure in the heated motor to escape rather than blow by oil seals. There's nothing to service.

Hummmm. Ok. What is that wet dirt around that area from? The motor just had dirt on it, but that spot seemed to have some type of liquid and then the dirt got on it. I think the dirt was from previous owner.

That is a vent for your differential, when the oil inside gets to splashing around from use a tiny vapor of oil may come out as the oil gets hot.
