Default 97 TXT Series

I have a friend that has a 97 ezgo txt series 36 volt cart with new batteries.

Everything is stock.

Would he get any additional MPH by putting in a plum quick bandit?

He just wants a little more mph without putting in a lot of money.

Would the bandit just be a waste of money?

Thx

Not completely sure but if he upgrades the motor he may have to upgrade the controller. But I'm sure he would get the higher mph, it's an upgraded motor after all

Series carts make more torque than speed. The Bandit does claim to be able to run with the stock controller, a very good selling point. The results reported are all over the map. We don't know why - because we don't know what exactly the bandit upgrade entails.

Generally speaking, the best bang for the buck for a series drive cart is an increase in voltage, like 36 - 48v.

A bandit motor is not a bad upgrade and chances are will get him a little more MPH but nothing substantial. A 48 volt conversion will make a substantial difference but is not a freebe.. Lots of folks like the series cart for building hunting buggies so another option is find a PDS cart, swap the goodies out of the series cart and sell it. Then when the bug bites again, go for the Alltrax xct400 upgrade and be pushing 23-24 mph
