Default Lights dimming question

When I blow the horn my lights will dim lower or when the music is turned up the headlights will dim and kind of flicker with the best of the music. How do I prevent this?

I have an RXV with 4 12v.

I do have a voltage reducer hooked up.

Which reducer? What gauge wires to power everything?

I believe it is Madjax 30 amp

Not sure on gauge?

This may be a stupid question, but will an amplifier to the speakers help or actually cause it to dim more with more power to speakers?

Any tips appreciated!

An amp for the speakers will make the situation worse. We need to get to the bottom of what's going on before thinking of adding anything else to the mix. I don't have any experience with that particular reducer, but based on its amp rating, you should not be having this problem if the wire sizes are appropriate for the load. Do you have a fuse block to distribute power? Do you have everything running from only one small wire running to the front?

Also, do you run your ground wires with your power to/from each device? Don't ground to the frame like a car.

We had already established that. How about checking those wires for size & separate circuits for stereo & lights.
