I'm confused
Higher voltage after charging is due to 'surface charge', where there are stratified layers of electrolyte. That dissipates as stratification dissipates. When flooded cells are allowed to bubble, it helps to stir the electrolyte, reducing stratification. This occurs most during the equalization phase of charging, which is supposed to allow all cells in a battery bank to reach full charge.

Stratified cells will read higher than cells that did not charge fully, which is why you must wait before reading cell voltages. Your 6th cell is apparently not bad, it is just undercharged. It really needs to be fully charged to bring it up to the same charge state as the rest. I suspect those 5 batteries have some amount of sulphation that has reduced their capacity, allowing their voltage to peak faster during charge, and dropping faster during use.

It may be time to consider buying a new battery bank soon. Do not buy a partial, as that would be a mistake that would lead to premature degradation to the new batteries you bought.

Picture of your charger ?
All connections clean ?
Battery age ?
edit: (oops.. read 2012 5 years old , they are due replacement)

It's Normal for batts to be higher volts during & right after charging
(wait 12 - 24 hours to get SOC volt reading)

Seems like the batts need a good long charge to equalize.

Charger shouldn't be shutting off until Pack volts is over 45 - 50 volts.
What's the pack voltage when the charger shuts off?

Thanks again guys for the help. Checked 24 hours later and all 5 batteries at 6.15 and the 1 battery is 6.08, pack is 36.83
