HE said that stock motor is not worth rebuilding, For the price what I got was the way to go.

Yeah the GE is a 'thin can' motor, meaning the metal casing is very thin. The AMD/ADC motors have a much thicker wall.

Good to know, I got one of those GE's. Also read where the brushes are smaller and can burn out with too much Amps. Even the small Alltrax could be too much for it.

Which for me really sucks since I would really like some more torque from a total stop. No need to upgrade anything unless the motor gets swapped out first is how I'm starting to read this stuff. CC must not have built in too much of a safety factory in my cart when it came to the drivetrain.

One of the most important take-aways from this discussion, especially for newbies, is to ALWAYS use two spanners on the motor studs so that the top nut can be loosened WITHOUT turning the stud (if the stud turns the wire attached to it inside the motor could break).

The other take-away is to not apply too much force or the stud might snap. If undue force is required use a good penetrating oil first to try to reduce the force needed.
