Your gonna deal with heat issues unless it's WOT all the time. Sure it works, but she gonna get hot. Just my experience

I had a 36 volt motor on my 48 volt hunting cart. If you use it as I did, on hills, with some loads, etc., you will find that it will burn up within a couple of years. If you use it on the street without a heavy load, then maybe you get more time out of it. I'm not one of the experts on here, but that's my .02 and my experience.

Me too! Lol was fun while it lasted though (I think it was about a year?). If I could go back I would buy another motor and not run my 36v motor into the ground. They are worth so much more money when they actually run Lol

If you want it to last you gotta be smart about it. Best thing you can do is send it out for brushes, bearing, and true the armature before sticking it in the 48v cart.
