Default Bough the alltrax 500a controller today

So I finally spent the money on a controller. I got the cart stuck Saturday night. It didn’t have enough power to turn the tires in the thick mud. Had to call a buddy to pull me out. It needs more torque. If this doesn’t do it then I guess it’s a motor swap. The thing is it’s not just the motor there is cables (250) extra. I already purchased the solenoid so that’s out of the way. I hope the controller alone will be enough because I am thinking of putting 22 inch swamp lites on it. Or maybe dirt devels haven’t decided yet. Any options on tires out there I am staying with 10 inch wheels. I really like the looks of the swamp lites.

It’s a 2014 precident IQ just wandering about tires and what kind of power this thing is going to have with the controller. I was looking at the installation for the controller it is not going to be a 5min job.

Are you saying $250 for cables? Wow. I always make them myself. It costs about $30 to do a whole cart in 4 AWG or 2 AWG. You need to change all your high amperage cables when you upgrade the controller to 500 AMPs, even if you’re keeping the stock motor.

Doing that kind of driving you're better off to just go ahead and upgrade to a high torque motor.
Good quality batteries will make a difference too.

Yes, what cart, Sepex or Series?
Another thing 10 inch is NOT A TIRE SIZE. It is a rim size. when asking about the effects of a tire size change PLEASE reference the tire height or diameter. Stock tires are 18 inches. 10 inch rims may have 18-22 inch tires on them
The difference between 18 and 22 inch tires is a 22.5% reduction in torque.
So you have to ask yourself how much am I going to gain with a bigger controller and how much am I going to loos with the bigger tires? There is a trade off here -

I guess i can upgrade the cables. But I thought you had to purchase new solenoid, MCOR, cables, F-R switch, and who knows what else when changing the controller and motor.

I was trying to say i would like to stay with the 10’’ wheel or rim so i have more sidewall smoother ride.
