Once I figured out to shim up out board end so it was a level pull two flat blade screw drivers walked it off.

So the two blue wires on the front of the old solenoid connect where on the new one?

So the side the lead from the battery ties into or the side between the coil and the controller? On the instruction pics it shows the diodes left side but my B+ from pack tied into the right side of the old solenoid. I can arrange it either way.

And should I upgrade my F wires? Currently they appear to be #10. I have some #8 I could use if needed.

The info with the 400 solenoid says it is not polarity sensitive. This means you can put the battery able on either big terminal. The banded end of the regen diode goes toward the battery side of the solenoid as instructed on the tech sheet that comes with it.
The + and - small wires can go on either small terminal as long as they are not mixed. The banded end of the small diode goes toward the + wire. See your install diagram to read what color the + wire is .

Don't get confused with "sides" or "old" way. Whichever side you land the cable from the battery, that will be the side the banded/striped end of the regen diode should face. You will have a Light Blue wire and a Blue w/White strip wire that will go to your small posts. Those are the coil activation wires. The small post that you attach the Light Blue wire (Pos activation) to, will be the side the banded/striped end of the suppression diode should face. (I like to place my battery cable (large post) and positive activation wire (small post) on the same sides, whether it be left or right)

And should I upgrade my F wires?
Here's what I do. When I upgrade the A1 &A2 wires I use the old wires for F1 & F2. Some people will say you don't need to but those wires can carry up to 50 amps at times.

Mine were too short, so I made new ones with #6 battery cable.
