03 club car ds 48v will not move
hello i have a 2003 club car ds 48v. ill try to keep this short without missing as much information as possible. the serial number for the cart is AA0308-257676. the original problem i had with it is that it would randomly shut down i tested pack voltage have 49.5 total. i had some connection problems at the solenoid that i repaired and replaced the solenoid. it will work fine for about 10-15 minutes then it just stops and wont move you can hear the solenoid click but nothing happens. so i did some testing with the obc and bypassed it off the information found here in the forum and it started working fine so i replaced the obc and put a new controller on it due to finding it having a crack across the bottom of the controller. now when i go to use the cart i have nothing. no click from the solenoid or anything. the new controller is a curtis 325A 5k-0 series. thank you

Did you put the run/tow switch to tow when you did this work?

Re: 03 club car ds 48v will not move
The 1204M is a programmable controller from Curtis. It has to be programmed for your usage via a Curtis Hand-Held programmer. I doubt BU did that for you and from what you are experience, it sounds correct on the assumption. It is most likely the throttle setting.

Re: 03 club car ds 48v will not move
I agree that there is a good possibility the controller is not pre-programmed, but that will not stop the Solenoid from clicking.
On a Series controller You just need the pedal micro-switch for the "positive" side and the OBC for the "negative" side of the coil activation. As long as both signals are available, the Solenoid will click even if you remove the controller from he cart. Check the Solenoid coil wiring as well as the diode orientation (side with stripe goes towards the "positive" activation wire). |

Re: 03 club car ds 48v will not move
Good point Sergio, I was focusing on "program" and forgetting it is not a logic controller...
Definitely missing a permissive here..... Key switch and FNR are in there too. |

Re: 03 club car ds 48v will not move
Yes, you should be able to communicate with it as that is a Curtis device made for CC.
