That is an 80V controller of the latest version, so your L6 should be a 72V L6 Elite. The last one of those that I reprogrammed was able to hit 32 MPH with the stock tires. You can go with larger tires, up to 25" on the 72V S4 and L6 models, to increase speed by a few more MPH. The SE version controllers can only be programmed with the latest programming hardware and software.

Hi Bob,

So very nice to meet you!

Thank you for your reply! I am much interested on this upgrade. I will arrange a date in the near future and plan a nice drive towards your way. I think I can fit the L6 in my long Sprinter van with the roof taken off instead of towing it. Looking forward to this exciting trip and meeting you Bob!

Take much care and Merry Christmas!

William

- usgicollector, thank you for all your guidance and your help! Merry Christmas!

Hi. I just bought a new 2020 Elite L6 and would like to get on the list for Bob to modify my controller to boost the speed a bit. I am located in Little Rock, Ar. I couldn’t figure out how to send a private message so please forgive me. My work computer blocks any good sites and I’m on my phone. Thanks!
