Default Admiral 10 HP MOT-D2 Brush Plate Diagram

Hello all,

I'm running 48 volt Yamaha Ride, Admiral 10 HP MOT-D2, Crown Batteries, Altrax XCT controller, upgraded solenoid and cables.

Need a little help with Admiral 10 HP MOT-D2 Brush Plate Diagram. I had to replace the brush plate and brushes due to over heat issue, thanks to my 14 year old son. I thought I took a picture before I pulled the brushes and not sure I have them in the correct location. I have tried looking for wiring schematics from Red Hawk and online web searches with no help specific to the MOT-D2 motor. Any pics or documents would be much appreciated.

I cleaned the motor out from all soot debris, continuity check was good on all the coils. Armature was worn from heat but cleaned up well. So I bought the replacement brushes and new brush plate. Put it back together and test run to seat the brushes and motor was hot on the brush end of the motor. Would only go one speed regardless of which of the 3 speed selections I chose on the Altrax controller. This is why i want to ensure if I have the brushes routed correctly or is my armature shot or do I have a speed sensor issue.

Man no replies after a week!

Maybe my post is not clear. I am not sure after replacing the brush plate and brushes that I wired the brushes correctly an just want to make sure. Does anyone have knowledge of general lay out of the brushes? There is a short leg and a long leg, just want to make sure of the placement in the brush holder.

Please help!

Going to drop the motor tomorrow and I will post pics for clarification of my installation.

Thank you all for any assist.
