Default 2016 RXV in need of charge meter and a little more pep

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2016 RXV and it came without a charge meter, any suggestions on which meters are the most accurate? Since it doesn't have one, I'm not bound by trying to find one to fit in a round or rectangle hole.

I have US Batteries, so not sure if there are specific meters for them as I have seen specific meters for Trojans (I still have a lot to learn)

The cart runs about 21mph (according to my wifes Apple Watch), so I would like to have Bob work his magic if possible. Depending on the turnaround time, this might be something I do this winter.

Does anyone know if a switch can be added to have 2 max speeds, one limited to roughly 20mph (neighborhood) and one that isn't restricted?

Great forums, glad to be a member and look forward to being able to contribute some day!

if you have a 48 volt system check out fbay #303545276456, industrial, usa made , no china stuff, 1 1/4 hole,no problems seeing in bright light, can be wired direct to end battery are to solenoid to power on when switch is on,,i really like mine though I had a factory soc gauge that looks like fuel gauge, didn't know if I could trust it

There are is a plug behind the panel where the key switch is that i plugged mine straight into which is a digital one but looked a couple weeks ago and can not find the same one anymore but there is one that is similar but looks like a gas gauge that would work.

Here is the one I use. It's always on and only uses milliamps.

When using a voltmeter on a 48 volt system, what are your readings at 100% charged, 50% charged, etc? I am used to seeing the 0% - 100% gauges, but I am struggling to find a digital gauge that can be seen in sunlight and is accurate.

I need something easy to understand so my wife knows when it's time to be plugged in.

State of Charge chart. I use the simple rule: If it's a 36V cart, never below 36V. If it's a 48V cart then never below 48V.
