Default Is it Safe to Put a Tie Down Strap Here?

New cart owner (EZGO TXT)...never transported my cart however. Is it safe to put a tie down strap through the rocker spring? See pic...

I personally don't see any issues with that. but others may have a different opinion.

That's my fav spot !! Haven't had any problems over the years.

I would suggest to use the "cross strap" method both side to side and front to back. A bungee cord holding down the seat bottom is also a good idea.

Good Luck !

Dumb question...what is the "cross strap" method? I searched, but didn't come up with anything. Thanks for the previous reply.

That's the way tie mine down. I also run one across floor board, just to keep it from bouncing so much. Might want to keep a piece of rubber to protect your straps there...I've worn a few straps from the rubbing.

Left shackle strapped to the right side of the trailer, right to the left.

Towing on a trailer or in truck bed?
I always run a strap from front tie downs of truck bed or trailer, across front floor with front wheels pressed against front of trailer or truck bed. keeping it secured from rolling back, then strap from each shackle to rear tie downs. Left shackle to right tie down on trailer. Right shackle to left tie down.

Front tie down keeps cart secured towards front. Rear tie downs keep cart from moving side to side over bumps.
Just what I do 😊

I do exactly the same. With windshield folded down and bungee cord around it at the bottom and bungee over the seat. Lock the brakes with wheels against front of trailer. If it has a club protector, up position with bungee cord around it at top. Tow at 70-75.
