Default 2000 series ezgo needs help

i finally got the cart out today and it runs really good around 15 to 16 mph on the top end. were my problem starts is low end torque it doesn't have any the batteries are 07 t105s all the cables are upgraded to 4ga, everything else is stock. i do have a lift and bigger rims and tires so i know i would lose some low end but i am having trouble making it up little hills. any ideas of what to do to just get some torque? iam fine with the top speed thanks Andy

Sounds like a battery charge issue to me...

36v series ezgos were notoriously gutless to start with .... what is your state of charge?

i have the same exact cart and the same exact problem! they tell me i need to upgrade the controller to a 400amp alltrax controller and that that should help/fix the issue! my cart is a kitty cat when it comes to climbing hills which stinks at the couse i play at! its full of hills! im not sure what else can be done besides that!

37.1v is only 70% charged. What is your charging routine?

i rode it around today and then put it on the charger. I came back home and the charger was off didnt know how long but i took a reading it was 38.9. this was at 4:30. I just got home a little bit ago and checked it again it was 38.4. i havent rode it since i charged the batteries i am hoping it is nice out tomorrow so i can check a couple other things. i usely try to plug the cart in at night time and let it cycle all night long. i dont know if this is how i should do it or not. i am really thinking the batteriers dont want to hold a charge very long. just me guessing. thanks andy

You can start by keeping track of usage and voltage. A specific gravity test of each cell would help you decide, as well as a load test with the proper tester.

It sounds like you have have a good charge now... if the pack can't hold a charge or it runs out of juice fast it may be a battery problem.... But with the big tires and lift I guess it is a system design flaw

with this being a series cart and a older one at that, could adding all this stuff to it help in draining the batteries quicker then normal. specific gravity test where do i get the tester to do this?
