2004 E Z Go txt roaring noise
Sorry this is a repost I had it listed before but it got messed up befor I could read responses. I am working on a 2004 txt that was extremely low on gear oil. It makes a roaring noise from the rear end or axle (I think).I am thinking it's the bearings but not sure where to start. Haven't encountered this before. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: 2004 E Z Go txt roaring noise
these carts dont have alot of gear oil in them, maybe 8 ozs if your lucky. Are you sure you dont have a bad bearing in the motor. it is located in teh rear housing right behind the brushes. when they go bad it sounds just like you have a bad bearing in the rear.
