Default 84 ezgo questions

My boss is rebuilding a 84 ezgo and has a couple of questions, thanks for any help.
1.Where is 12 volts located in the electrical system? Cart has 6 6volt batts.
2.Can a stereo be run through the ignition switch? So it will not draw power all the time.

12v is accessed from 2 of the 6v batteries in series.
Unless you have the light switch option on the ignition switch (3 position, off/on/on with lights) you can not wire the stereo through the ignition. A toggle switch will work for this. Remember you still have to wire the memory to the battery or you lose your station presets every time you shut it off.
Don't forget a fuse.
