Default Is this motor the right one for my cart?

Purchased new motor for my 2005 Club Car Precedent from buggies unlimited. Talked with a tech and received the motor today. The new motor has no speed sensor plug in rear of motor. Also Connections are marked differently. The old motor has A1 A2, F1 F2, on connections and the new motor has A1 A2, S1 S2 . Tried motor, but nothing happens but reverse?

First, this site is not affiliated with BU...... as for the problem, that is the wrong motor for your cart. You have a regen cart and that is a series motor.

Send it back and exchange it for the correct unit.

yeah, they should have a return policy.... Nivel ownes BU and I know Nivel has a decent return policy, since BU made the mistake, they should have no problem with doing a return.

Heck no.... they should pay freight both ways since their "tech" reccommended that motor to you.

What gets me is I asked them repeatedly if the motor would work wtih all the upgrades on my cart and he kept saying yes, it will plug right in , and there wasnt even a plug on it. We were gonna be in a parade with it.

Just send it back and deal with a trusted vendor that has used and probably could from experience, answer any question you have about the unit .....
